The tape winders iATW are precision cross winders. They produce perfectly wound bobbins with optimal tape tension at speeds of up to 450 m/min., perfect for the subsequent weaving process.
These are precision winders in which each spindle is driven by an AC motor with individual frequency inverter. The drive transmission for traverse mechanism is via timing belts and pulleys.

The winder has been specially designed for winding up flat on cylindrical cores. It meets the requirements for high precision and flawless quality. The winders are mounted on distortion-free frames
ATW-M magnetic tape winder is ideally suitable for medium and low output tape extrusion plants. It winds precision cross wound packages with fair tension regulation over the built up diameter.
Some characteristic features of the precision winding machines are:
- High precision traverse mechanism.
- Frictionfree drive of winder head and traverse mechanism by three-phase motor with constant speed via inductive torque transmission.
- Balancer for obtaining a constant tape tension; regulates the winding speed and adjusts it progressively to the extruder speed.
